The Nook

Year
2025
Cut-away axonometric rendering of an interior floor with curved white partition walls forming sheltered seating niches.

Starting from user research, conducting interviews and surveys with its current users, the existing University restaurant Food & Co shares the space with The Nook, a new learning lounge run by rotating cafés from the Helsinki Area. This way, the space is optimally used during quiet hours, and students, staff, and other visitors have a place to relax during breaks, can co-work, grab a snack, or simply enjoy a coffee.
